The IDEAMAPS Network was recently awarded a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to co-design and co-develop a data/modelling ecosystem that produces maps of "slums" and deprived areas for multiple cities. Partners in Lagos and Kano (Nigeria), and Nairobi (Kenya) will participate in the design and roll-out of this cutting-edge platform which aims to serve data needs of communities, governments, and development partners.

To kick-off the design of the IDEAMAPS Ecosystem project, we are holding a full-day public event in Lagos, Nigeria on February 1st, 2023 at the University of Lagos. The event will be highly interactive, so that in addition to learning about the scope of the project, participants will have a chance to provide feedback and shape the direction of this work.
